Mansfield Town winger Louis Briscoe has today put pen to paper on a new contract.
The 25-year-old, who has played in every of the Stags’ five seasons in non-league, fired eight goals last term in the club’s championship-winning campaign.
A fans’ favourite, he is the current longest-serving player at One Call Stadium along with Alan Marriott having signed in January 2009.
Stags are not revealing the length of contract Briscoe has signed.
Briscoe said: “I’m elated to have signed. It gives me the chance to be part of a Mansfield team that can prove we can do it in the Football League.”
Said Paul Cox: “I’m really pleased that Louis has put pen to paper. He is a goalscorer from wide areas and it is important that we continue to raise the bar with Louis, and the whole squad, so he can enhance his goals tally even more.”
