Ross Dyer enjoyed scoring in 17 seconds against his old club in the Stags 1-1 draw at Forest Green Rovers on Saturday and then said: “I have quite a few friends here and only have good things to say about Forest Green
“But it is nice to score against your old club. Adam Murray dinked it over and I made the run and just hit it across the keeper and managed to score which was a great start.
“I thought the sending-off was 50-50. It’s not malice, just passion. But we stick together. We dug in and grinded out the result.”
Skipper Murray said: “That is a massive point.
“I don’t think it was a sending-off. Two minutes before, their lad fouled me and I jumped straight back up. If I hadn’t he would have gone.
“Referees need to be stronger, especially for away teams. Matt Green should have had a penalty.
“He was through one on one and he is a big bloke, he doesn’t go down for nothing.
“We are certainly not a dirty side. We don’t throw elbows.”
