A FURIOUS Paul Cox vowed to make wholesale changes after his Mansfield Town side conceded four for the second successive game in a dire 4-1 defeat at Gateshead.
The Stags boss even hinted some players could be on their way out.
“I had to give players a second chance tonight and some of them hung themselves,” he said.
“There was a lack of belief and a lack of desire to do the basics. If the players can’t defend balls into the box then I will bring in players who can.
“What got us to third last year was heart, desire, application and a willingness to work for your team mates.
“But, for me, I have made decisiosn on one or two players tonight who can go and find another club or sit it out in the reserves.
“One or two individuals seem to be here for the wrong reasons and I am going to have to make some horrible decisions before Saturday.
“But I must sort things out now while we still have time. I wouldn’t be doing my job if I didn’t.”
