STAGS’ boss Paul Cox has completed his backroom team by the signing of experienced midfielder Andy Todd as player/coach.
Todd (32) follows Micky Moore to Field Mill, who joined the club last week as assistant manager.
The ex-Nottingham Forest trainee has a wealth of experience in the region having played for Worksop, Hucknall and more recently Eastwood Town - where he played last season, scoring 12 goals.
Todd also adds Burton, Accrington Stanley, and Rotherham United to his résumé in a career spanning over 10 years.
Said manager Paul Cox: “Knowing Andrew, he’ll want to be in the first 11 every week. I would be surprised if he isn’t one of the fittest players in pre-season training as he looks after himself immaculately.
“He won this league five or six years ago with Accrington and will be a great addition to the backroom staff, as well as the squad.
“He is a competitor and a ‘winner’,” added Cox.
