Alfreton Town manager Nicky Law has further strengthened his squad with the addition of experienced central midfield player Tom Shaw.
The former Cambridge United and England C international has signed a two-year deal with the Reds.
Shaw, 26, began his career with Nottingham Forest’s youth academy before moving to the youth team at Rushden and Diamonds where he progressed to play in the Football League.
After a loan spell with the defunct Nuneaton Borough, Shaw signed a one-year contract with Mansfield Town but moved on to Tamworth and then Kidderminster Harriers in 2010.
He made 42 appearances for the Harriers before joining Cambridge United on a two-year deal in 2011 where he made 79 appearances, scoring 13 times.
