Stags boss Cox finally signs new contract
MANSFIELD TOWN manager Paul Cox has finally put pen to paper on a new two-year deal, the club announced today.
The ex-Eastwood Town boss has been rewarded with a new contract after guiding the Stags to their highest finish in non-League in his first season in charge.
Said chairman John Radford: “Paul’s record with us is very good and I am pleased that he has committed his future to us for the next two seasons.
“There were a number of clubs in higher leagues who were chasing Paul, but I have a good working relationship with him.
“I am an ambitious chairman and Paul knows I want us to be champions next season. I want to make sure that Paul has the tools to be able to achieve that goal.”
Paul Cox added: “I am delighted to have signed.
“I know it has taken some time but there was never any doubt in my mind that it would happen.
“I have enjoyed my time working with the chairman and I hope our fruitful working relationship can continue.
“The hard work now begins to build on the strong foundations which we laid last season.”
