Purchase or lease, it should`nt concern the fans too much although a purchase would be the icing on the cake. The important thing is that JR secures the best deal for himself and then for the club. He would have entered these negotiations with more than one objective and he would have had a number of fall-back positions depending upon how the talks developed. Each party gathering information as the talks went on. KH would have prepared exactly the same but, clearly, without the same objectives as JR other than to achieve the best deal he could. These talks are generally very secure and so any rumours may not be accurate but in this case I hope the matter is concluded quickly. Lawyers fees must be enormous now and, as usual they will be the winners.Up the Stags with great support to JR and his Directors.

Is the Mayor paying his agent (aka oldstag) to come on here `Bigging him up`? I suspect Eggo is just like the rest of & going on hear say. Maybe trying to steal the limelight to get re elected?....What next? oldstag for Prime Minister???

I have to wonder if the Mayor's agent (aka oldstag) is on commission. Is he paying you a set wage to `Big him up` on here? Eggo probably knows about as much as the rest of us. From what I'm told, he's not been involved of late, so it seems he's obviously going on hear say, just like the rest of us.... Difference with us is we're not trying for popularity, in order to get re-elected..... oldstag for Prime Minister?

Mcvane I have heard off 3 different people now and two confirm that the sale eg the purchase of the ground has been agreed and should be completed ahead of the 1st March deadline, however I can't name them as one would most probably lose hisher job. Spoiler alert I have also been told that it is infact a new lease for the ground and that the court case was abandoned as there was little chance of the case being successful in court which was debated to death on stagsnet when the court case first came to life. I guess we will all have to wait for the official announcement now and we won't have long to wait as 1st March is fast approaching. Lets hope the info saying it is a purchase is true, I have no reason to doubt the person who told me.

heroic, Coleman will find fault with it, even if Haslam has GIVEN the ground away... Feel sorry for his wife, if he's got one?...lol....Tony, scrounging a lift on Darlo's team bus?.... Like most on here, if the sale is COMPLETELY done & dusted, then it's time for celebratiions.... But if it's only agreed in principal & not a BINDING agreement, the Champers needs putting back on ice..... It's HASLAM we're talking about!!!.... Has he suddenly become trustworthy?....I very much doubt that!!!

#48. Simmo, I understand that you can't name the 'numerous people' you refer to but unless you know JR, CS, KH or the legal people, how else would anyone find out? So is it from one of those?

Simmo, If it is Dave Rhodes he will debate it first with Coleman.

What is going to be the best media for making the announcement? Surely, www.mansfieldtown.net and then through all media, Let the church bells ring. Let the Town Hall's bells ring.Let there be wine, beer and merriment!
