Four goals and three points, I don’t think Saturday could have gone any better for me.

With all the talk in the days leading upto the game being about a potential FA Cup round three tie with Liverpool, it would have been so easy to lose sight of what was right in front of us.

Ebbsfleet United always pose a tough test and thrive on distractions, thank goodness then that we kept our eye on the prize of three points.

It’s time now to take that focus and energy into Wednesday evening’s match again Lincoln City.

It’s a clash of two in form sides with a prize that very many dream of, but very few have chance of achieving, the chance to welcome a footballing giant into their home in round three of the FA Cup.

Lincoln City stand in our way as we know and they will fight for every ball and David Holdsworth will get his side fired up, a chance to get one over on his ex-employers and get a huge third round tie won’t be ignored.

I’ve no doubt Paul Cox will get his players fired up for Wednesday’s game and, on home turf, will undoubtedly fancy his chances. With just one home defeat all season, the One Call is a fortress.

Think back to 3rd March and the huge party atmosphere at Field Mill after John Radford finally purchased the ground. The mood was great and there wasn’t a chance of the opposition winning that day – who we’re the opponents? Lincoln City. Obviously it’s not the same circumstances as before, but if we can creat the same atmosphere and buzz it will transpire onto the pitch and as such, the players can make our dreams come true.

Be vocal, be proud and most importantly.... BELIEVE!! COYS!
