Ladies hit seven goals in Premier debut

Ollerton Town Ladies marked their first match of the season with a 7-0 win over Mansfield Hosiery Mills following promotion to the Premier Division of the East Midlands Women's Regional League.

Left winger Holly Jennings opened the scoring and, as Ollerton retained possession well throughout the first half, midfielder Amy White and striker Nat Gibson added further goals.

At the start of the second half Ollerton’s player of the match, Megan Howard, made it 4-0.

Further goals followed from Meg Howard, Lucy Smith and Gibson again.

The Ollerton defence worked hard to protect their keeper for the confidence-boosting win ahead of their next match on Thursday when Nettleham Ladies are the visitors.
