Another piece of Rainworth boss Kevin Gee’s jigsaw slotted into place after Wednesday night’s game when highly-rated attacking midfielder Jared Holmes finally put pen to paper.
Former Hucknall Town man Holmes has proved a huge hit with Rainworth fans while trailing during pre-season games, and a delighted Gee said: “Jared is a top drawer player. I never doubted that he would sign eventually, having played in so many pre-season games for us. He’s been a major target for some time and I’m delighted that we have got him at last.
“His passing range is terrific, he’s physically strong, and he is a great acquisition for us.”
But Holmes is not the final piece in the jigsaw, for Gee is still looking to add two more players to round off his squad.
