Football referees course looks for next generation

NEWARK and Sherwood District Council are backing an Easter course for budding football referees.

If you’re aged 14 and above, you could sign up to the Football Association-run referees’ course being held at the Newark Flowserve Sports and Social Club, Hawton Lane, Balderton, on Tuesday, 3rd April, Wednesday 4th April and Thursday 5th April.

The course, held during the Easter holidays in Newark and Sherwood, costs £125 and is held between 9.30am and 4.30pm.

Grant aid funding support is available from Newark and Sherwood District Council, to voluntary coaches/officials within Newark and Sherwood.

Applications must be made before an individual attends the referees’ course.
