Bilsthopre secure bragging rights against Ollerton as big freeze wipes out Central Midlands Football League

Bilsthopre secured the local bragging rights after beating Ollerton Town 2-1 in the Black Dragon North division.

The visitors took a fourth minute lead through an own goal, but Bilsthorpe levelled by half-time through Gavin King.

The second period saw plenty of chances at both ends but just one more goal, with a long range effort from Keenan Leeds securing the points for the hosts.

It was just one of five matches which beat the freezing conditions across the whole Central Midlands Football League.

Hucknall Town ended Clifton All Whites six game unbeaten run with a goal scored by Adam Nelson after 62 minutes which proved to be the decider.

The win lifts Hucknall to third place in the Black Dragon South table.

A 67th minute winner from Marek Vipond wrapped up the points for Bulwell against Hucknall Rolls.

Level on points with Hucknall Town are Bulwell, who also needed just one goal to take the points down the road at Hucknall Rolls. The Bulls’ winner came from Marek Vipond in the 67th minute.

Harworth Colliery and Kinsley Boys shared the points at Scrooby Road with a 1-1 draw, while Eastwood Community celebrated their first win in the Reserve Premier division with a 1-0 win over Hucknall Town.
