In the regional final the team played Leicester Grammar School for a place in the national final but this proved a step too far.

The team were then rewarded with a trip to Trent Bridge for the third day of the India Test Match.

The boys formed a flag waving guard of honour for the players as they took to the field at the start of play to the stirring sounds of ‘Jerusalem’.

During the lunch break they played an informal game of Kwik Cricket on the pitch with the aim of giving a few catches to the 17,000 crowd.
