Alfreton Town face a huge task this Saturday as they bid to end a two-game losing league run.
Nicky Law’s side face another tough away game, this time at in-form Kidderminster Harriers who moved into third place in the table on Tuesday night after recording their fifth win from their last six games,.
The latest Harriers success was an impressive 1-0 victory at fellow promotion hopefuls Forest Green Rovers.
On the same night, the Reds went down 1-0 at Nuneaton Town as the relegation-fighting hosts secured all three points thanks to an 87th minute penalty success by James Dance, the victory coming on top of a 3-0 Alfreton home defeat way back on August Bank Holiday Monday, which gave the Warwickshire side a league double.
The defeat leaves Nicky Law’s side with no points from their last two league games as the Reds had narrowly gone down 2-1 at home to Macclesfield Town last Saturday.
Alfreton have now won only once in their last seven league games and they are going to have to dig deep if they are to pick up any points reward against a Harriers side who have also recorded five clean sheets in their last eight league outings.
ATFC Supporters’ Association transport to Kidderminster departs at 10am. Seats can be booked via Mark Thorpe on 07857 558401.
Next Tuesday, the Reds close out the month of February with a home game against Hyde FC at the Impact Arena which kicks-off at 7.45pm.
