OLIVER Wilson started his well earned holiday straight after the end of the Dubai World Championship on Sunday.
His share of 16th place secured his seventh position in The Race to Dubai Table, four better than last year and a final position of 40th in the official World Rankings.

Suffering with a cold putter out in the deserts of Dubai, he was well adrift of the winner Lee Westwood, having only made any progress during his last round.

Still looking for that first professional win he can look back at the end of a year that has cemented his position among Europe's top group of players.

In Coxmoor's Wednesday Medal the First Division was won by Roy Coleman with a nettt 73, off 10.

He was one clear of Derek McJannettt who returned the day's best scratch score of 74, Tony Smith and Malcolm Flinton who all carded nettt 74.

In Division Two John Shannon won with the days best total of 71 to finish well clear of runner up Ray Turner.

The First Division of this week's Rufford Park Autumn League Sunday's competition went to Paul Saxton on 36 points.

Kevin Sullivan won on Saturday with 36 points, while the Wednesday competition went to Neil Gillespie after a countback with Neil Terry both with 31 points.

In the Second Division Phil Barnfather won on Sunday with a best of the day 40 points, with Saturday's competition going to Geoff Betts with 36 points.

The Third Division gave wins for James R. Shaw on Saturday with 33 points, while Sunday's competition was won by Ralph Leeson on 38 points.

The results leave Liam Taylor at the top of the First Division with a total of 154, one ahead of the chasing Dave Rossington.

Neil Terry tops Division Two on 145 points one better than John Shaw.
Ralph Leeson consolidated his position at the top of the Third Division with 159 points, nine ahead of second placed James R Shaw.

The Second Round of the Saturday Golfer of the Betterball Stableford at Oakmere Park was won by Alan Seddon and Jordan Shepherd on the back nine from Jonathan Glynne-Jones and Roy Lane.

Both pairs finished on 44 points, with third place going to Andrew Hall and Darren Taylor also on the back nine from Phil Noon and Trevor Noon with 42 Points.

Crawford Hunter and Tony Eaton returned a nett 69 to win the First Round of the Sunday Golfer of the Winter.

They finished two clear of runner up Haydn Saxton and Dean Tomkinson, who took second on the back nine from Paul Holmes and Paul Scott.

Ken Lewis, Bob McEwen, John Wilson won the Senior's Four Ball Betterball with the team of Alan Clarke, Ernest Scott, Terry Pennick and Chris Whiting taking second place.

Jan Goodman and Celia Bowen won the Ladies Gladys Morgan Trophy with second place going to Margeret Sears and Angela Robinson.

The Banner Kirkham Trophy went to Tracy Aslam and Joe Aslam with Jean Codner and Lloyd Young picking up the second prize.

Staff from Mansfield's Golfsupport business will this weekend compete in an eight man tournament in Spain.

The event is run in conjuction with Golfsupport.co.uk and Costalessgolf.com.

Customers are Golfsupport have also claimed a number of top prizes as the company celebrates a successful six months of trading.

Prizes include tickets to top football and rugby events including England v Australia as well as a golf break for four.
