Selston FC's Saturday senior side have completed a fantastic treble to mark their 40th anniversary season.
The team have won the Midlands Regional Alliance Division Two championship, the League Cup and the Notts Junior Cup.

The league was sewn up with a month to spare, with Selston eventually finishing 13 points clear of second place.

The stunning 8-2 League Junior Cup win was meted out over the Division One champions Willington – who themselves have run away with their Division.

The icing on the cake came when Selston won the Notts Junior Cup, beating Three Crowns 3-1.

To mark their ruby anniversary the club organized a football fun day with all four Saturday sides (U9s, U11s, U15s and seniors) playing at home on the same day.

More fun was to be had with beat the keeper, the crossbar challenge, bouncy castles, BBQ and stalls too.

The club held a celebratory dinner in the evening with guest speakers Kenny Burns and John McGovern and held a sports auction. £1,000 from the auction was donated to the Thomas Barnes fund.

Thomas was a player for Selston in previous years at U13 and 14 level and is currently battling leukemia.
