NEWLY-FORMED Riddings Rovers FC will compete in the Matlock and District Football League this coming season.
Management duo Jamie Durham and Gavin Bocking are looking to put their stamp on the league this season and Bocking said: “We have a good bunch of lads this season but in order to have a title chance we need commitment and hard work from everyone.”

Riddings have started brightly this pre-season, firstly beating rivals Shirland MW 3-1 with goals from O’Donnell (2) and Mark Turner.

The following game saw them beat Somercotes Dev 5-1, O’Donnell again netting a brace plus strikes from Dyrham, Dables and Wain.

Skipper Mick Morgan turned in an outstanding performance.

Tonight they travel to take on Wirksworth (7pm).
