OLLERTON race ace Chris Walker rode to a brace of top 10 finishes at Cadwell Park on Sunday in round four of the British Superbike championship to pick up a further 17 points which move him into 11th place in the standings.
Walker was again deputising for the injured Simon Andrews and rode the MSS Colchester Kawasaki for the second meeting in succession.
Qualifying saw the Nottinghamshire rider set the eighth fastest time and he was to make a start from row three of
the grid.
As race one got underway Chris moved forward to seventh and then to sixth before making inroads towards John Laverty who he caught and passed briefly on lap five of 18 before the Irishman reclaimed his position. Walker held station for a couple of laps before being overhauled by Josh Brooks who had made a poor start and Walker finally crossed the finish line in a strong seventh position.
Race two once again saw Walker mixing it with the front runners in fifth position but he was eventually knocked back to finish the race in eighth position to complete a good weekend when he added to his points Tally.
"I can't believe how warm it has been here today, its almost a shame to put your leathers on it's that warm! Everyone is in holiday mood, Cadwell is a great place to race when the sun is shining.
"We are near to the seaside and also not too far from home either so my family and friends have come along which makes it a really special weekend for me. I am delighted to have been able to give MSS Colchester Kawasaki two good results this weekend."
The series takes a short break now to allow for the Isle of Man TT races, the next round being at Mallory Park on 27th June.
