CHASING Old Elizabethans narrowed the gap on Midland Amateur Alliance Premier Division leaders Southwell Amateurs after a 7-1 demolition of Wollaton III.
Old Elizabethans were 2-0 up at the break, before a second half goal blitz blew Wollaton away to cut the gap on Southwell to just two point.
C. Wilkinson scored a hat-trick with the other goals coming from L. Jones, P. Johnson, L. Beaver and L. Goward.
Brunts Old Boys also enjoyed a resounding win as they destroyed Eastwood FC 5-1 away, thanks to a brace by Josh Caunt and goals from Stefan Frost, Chas Smith and Steve Sims.
But Pinxton North End lost ground on the leaders after they were suprisingly held to a 2-2 home draw against lowly Nottinghamshire II.
