More golds for Mansfield

After the amazing success of Mansfield's amazing Olympic gold achievements, more impressive local international sporting achievements came in the form of World champion golds for local athletes in martial arts.
Zara Phythian’s Personal Best Academy now have six new world champions in the sport, bringing home seven World gold medal titles from the WOMAA World Games in Castle Bar, Ireland.
Team coach and mentor Zara, of King’s Clipstone, was delighted with her charges.
Jennifer Bagnall won World gold in Weapons, and silver in Sport Kickboxing, Steffi Fernandes took double World golds in Weapons and TKD Forms, as well as bronze in Sport Kickboxing, Jack Smith won World gold in Creative Forms while Leah McEwan won double World golds in Creative Forms and TKD Forms.
Team captain Lisa Williams won World gold in Sport Kickboxing and silver in TKD Forms, Kerry Reeve won World gold in Sport Kickboxing and Silver in TKD Forms, plus bronze in Musical Weapons.
Sensei Zara herself was awarded yet another Hall of Fame at the games, this time a Hall of Fame plaque for ‘International Female Martial Artist and Contibution to the Martial Arts of the year’ as well as the New World Ring for still holding the Triple Crown Holder record she set in 2005 in Germany.
