Steve Clark and Kev Baxter took the top two spots to stay ahead of the pack as top pair in the Sherwood Forest Farm Park Fishery Pairs Series.
Winner Steve fished pole on two lines with chopped worm on one and pellet and meat on the other.

He had 21lb of small carp and roach with the rest of his catch made up of 12 carp to 10lb, weighing in 96lb 3oz - the best weight so far this year.
Kev Baxter, drawn at peg 21, also had a massive 81lb 9oz, having 17 carp in his nets all caught on the pole and pellet fished at 13m.

Kristian Powers took a gamble and fished the method feeder cast to the island at peg 39 in the open match on Holmedale Lake - and it was a gamble that paid off.

With hair rigged pellet he caught steadily all match, landing 15 carp to 8lb and weighing in 56lb 4oz.

Second place Rob Ward also fished another bait associated with summer - the paste.

He fished it on the pole at 11m and had seven big carp to 8lb finishing with 37lb 1oz.

The Tuesday match on Sherwood Lake proved a peg to peg battle with John Danby fishing pole and pellet at one side of the weed beds and Mark Jones fishing the same method on the other side.

But it was John that came out top thanks to common carp that weighed in just over 15lb.

He fished at 11m down the margin having six other carp to 3lb and a net of skimmers to 2lb totalling 48lb 12oz.

Mark had 13 carp to 3lb and 20lb of skimmers in his 41lb 1oz net, also fishing down the margin.

Pride of Warsop’s 2008 match season got off to a good start at Marnham Match Lake with 15 of 17 anglers weighing in.

Ashley Spencer on peg 29 had two good size carp, numerous ide and roach on pole and worm to win with 20 lb 10oz.

Close behind in second place Pete Lewis, on peg 13, caught small carp steadily throughout the day on sweetcorn, finishing with 20 lb dead.

Wayne Jerram just got third place catching a 8lb 8oz carp five minutes from the end to boost his weight of small ide and roach to 17lb 8oz.

Most anglers were kept busy early in the match catching ide and roach with a few good size carp being caught late on, maggot being the most prominent bait.
