Mansfield Wheelers member Jason Jessop was crowned Masters champion at the British Cycling BMX Championships in Peterborough.
Up against the best in the country, Jessop, who also rides for the Midlands, was on form throughout the weekend.
The Peterborough track suited Jason’s style of riding and he had the pull on the first straight and the power to lead.
In the Motos he ws second, first and first, earning a place in the semi-finals where a slipped foot off the pedal saw him leave the track but quickly recover fro second place. And in the final, off gate two, he raced a perfect lap to pick up the Masters trophy.
