Sherwood Gold shone brightest as Sherwood Colliery hosted the Fruit Bowl Trophy at Sherwood Baths.
With only four lanes available opposition was provided by Newark Swimming Club and Stocksbridge Pentaqua with Sherwood fielding a Gold and a Black team.
On the night Sherwood gold were successful in 26 of the 48 events on the programme, six victor
ies being achieved in the relays.
Individual event winners on the night in the nine year age group, Elliot Clogg 25m Backstroke, Bethany Wise 25m Backstroke and 25m Butterfly.
In the 10-year-old age group the only success was achieved by Chloe Gaynor in the 50m Backstroke.
In the 12-year-old age group the boys won all their events - Kieron McGinley 50m Butterfly and 100m Freestyle, and Daniel Timms 100m Backstroke and 100m Breaststroke, sharing the spoils.
In the 12-year-old girls, Heidi Gregory won three events - 100m Back, 50m Butterfly and 100m Freestyle.
The 14-year age group excelled by winning all the boys’ and girls’ events - Daniel Barke 50m Butterfly and 100m Freestyle, Lewis Steptoe 100m Backstroke and 100m Breaststroke.
In the girls Amy Hull won 100m Backstroke and 100m Freestyle, Katie Gillies 100m Breaststroke, Kelly Ramsdale 50m Butterfly, and Kelly was also victorious in the open age 100m Butterfly.
The Black team only recorded one victory, Jamie Kay winning the open boys’ 100m Freestyle.
