OLIVER Wilson never got into any rhythm in the World Golf Championships HSBC Champions in Shanghai last week and finished well down the leaderboard.
Wilson, who played well in the World Match Play Championship in Spain winning two matches, managed only one sub par round during the week and eventually finished with a midfield place at level par, 17 shots behind the winner Phil Mickleson.
With only two tournaments left in his schedule for this year, Wilson will next tee up on Thursday in the UBS Hong Kong Open.
In America, Greg Owen plays his 30th and final tournament of the year starting on Thursday in the Children's Miracle Network Classic at the Disney's Magnolia and Disney's Palm Course in Florida.
In local golf the winner of the First Division of Coxmoor's Ladies Sunday Medal was Judy Wheatley with a nett 71, with the scratch prize going to Emily May Hall with a gross of 90.
The Division Two winner was Heidi Sweeney with a nett 65, with Sue Clarke in second with a nett 75.
Jane Fowler won the Tuesday Medal Division One with a nett 73, with the best scratch score 89 coming from Chris Hill.
The winner in the Second Division was Janet Cooper.
Solid golf saw Norma Packer win the Past Captain's Cup with second place going to Chris Gibson.
After 10 rounds of the Autumn League at Rufford Park, Liam Taylor leads the First Division with a best four round total of 154, one better than Dave Rossington with Russ Griffiths lying in third with 145.
Things are much tighter in the Second Division with John Shaw, Neil Terry and Conor Pegg all tied on 142.
Ralph Leeson is well clear in the Third Division with 159 followed by James R. Shaw on 150 and Andy Lyle with 149.
In the beat the professionals' event at Oakmere Park it was the Professional team of Daryl St John Jones, Jamie Jarvis, Martyn Brown and Steve Wilford who returned the best total of the day with a team score of 234.
The nearest contenders were the team of Alan Ward, Malcolm Crossley, Michael O'Neil and Dave Woolis, seven behind on 241.
Andy Henderson carded 36 points to win the top division of the Sunday Stableford, with Chris Ryl taking second with 34 points on the back nine from Brain Waltham and Steve Mee.
In Division Two Alan Seddon took the top spot on the back six from Lloyd Young, both with 37 points 37 points with Roland Eaton in third with 34 points.
A best of the day 38 points won the Third Division for Kevin Gallagher, one clear of runner up Jordan Shepherd with Malcolm Crossley in third with 34 points.
The first Round of the Saturday Golfer of the Winter Aggregate Medal went to Chris Cooper and Malcolm Brown with a nett 134, with the pairings of Matthew Pinnick and Daniel Waterhouse, Alan Seddon and Jordan Shepherd and Sanjeev Sandhu and Ujager Sandhu all qualifying to play in the semi final in March next year.
Winners in the Wednesday Stableford were Joshua Smith, with 36 points in Division One, Yau Koony, with 33 points in Division Two, and Jordan Shepherd in the Third Division with 42 points.
In the latest Seniors Stableford John Pauley won the First Division with 36 points, one better than Nick Thornton, with Division Two going to Malcolm Crossley with a best of the day 38 points three clear of Les Kent.
In Division Three John Wilson carded 33 points to win by one from Terry Pennick.
In the Ladies Section Stableford Christine Hall carded 32 points to win by two from Shirley Rudge, with third place going to June Gaunt with 29 points.
In the Bird and Bottle Stableford Julie Walkden took the honours with 31 points, three clear of Julie Craggs.
Elaine Preece won the Summer Eclectic with 61 points followed by Colette Mullen 62 points, Julie Walkden 63 points and Sue Reynolds, 65 points.
