FOOTBALL stars of the past were at Glapwell on Sunday for a fundraising charity match. A Scott Sellars Legends XI took on a Jamie Walker Select XI at the Hall Corner ground.
All money raised will go to the Lymphoma Research Trust and Haemotology Department at King's Mill Hospital, Mansfield, where staff helped former Mansfield Town youngster Jamie beat Hodgkins Lymphoma two years ago.

So far Jamie, who is in remission, has helped to raise £38,000 from charity matches and events.

Legendary players at Glapwell on Sunday included Steve Ogrizovic, Nigel Clough, Andy Beasley, Simon Coleman and Ernie Moss.

The fun began with a pre-match seven-a-side tournament that included Mansfield Police, colleges and Mansfield 2020 businesses.

There was also a fundraising balloon race.
