The hunt for Britain's next Rebecca Adlington switches to her home town this weekend.
A number of 2012 Olympic hopefuls will descend on Mansfield's Water Meadows as the venue plays hosts to the Major Oak Open Championships.

The annual event, organised by Mansfield Swimming Club, attracts top club swimmers from all over the country who will be vying to breakthrough to the national squads in time for the London Olympics.

As a result, both the leisure and competition pools will be closed to the public on both Saturday and Sunday. All other facilities, including the sauna and fitness suite will be open as normal.

For further information on Water Meadows opening times, visit www.mansfield.gov.uk/watermeadows or call the complex on 01623 463880.
