FA Affiliated football was on the agenda when Soccersixes met up with the FA recently to affiliate their 6aside league at Garibaldi College on Tuesday.
Soccersixes operate over 150 leagues nationally but met with the FA to affiliate there local leagues.
With the league being FA Affiliated the league is authorised by the FA to have qualified referees, adopt the FA discipline policy which makes the
league run smoothly and also the league now passes all the appropriate insurance procedures and policies.
The FA have recently updated and improved procedures and policies for small sided leagues and the new Affiliation brings Soccersixes up to date with everything and all league policies are in correct order.
Sixes operate the leagues weekly. Currently there is two spaces remaining in the league and if any team wishes to join it is free entry and teams can register online at www.soccersixes.net
Sixes Director Matthew Scoffham said: "We are pleased to renew our affiliation policy and develop our relationship with the County FA.
"We feel having the backing of the FA is an important factor in the success of the league. Teams can feel at ease playing in our leagues as we have high class qualified FA referees officiating for us.
"We feel it is important to affiliate our league to the FA for support and also qualified referees have been instructed not to officiate unaffiliated small sided leagues and we could not operate without qualified referees."
