Wildlife survey at Pleasley Park

PLEASLEY Park ranger Vince Lennox and his shadow ranger Lisa Blezzard study plants at the park on Sunday as part of their first ever wildflower survey.
During the event, nature lovers were able to explore the park, near Shirebrook, and record the diversity of species growing in the mixed conifer and broadleaf woodland.

Says Vince: "Wildflowers have suffered because of lack of suitable habitat, which in turn affects insects, so woods like Pleasley Park have become even more important."
