Warsop Vale war memorial re-dedicated

A SERVICE for the rededication of Warsop Vale War Memorial was conducted by the Rector of Warsop, the Rev Kathryn Herrod, and the Rev Paul Lawlor.
The memorial has been moved to a new site on the village green, in an area which is currently being redeveloped by Bellway Homes.

The Last Post was played by Robert Deakin, of Welbeck Estates Brass Band.

Those in attendance included Geoffrey Hallam, standard bearer, pictured, and Mike Trinder, chairman, of the Warsop and Meden Vale branch of the RBL; members of Edwinstowe and Mansfield RBL, representatives from Mansfield District Council, Meden Valley Making Places, Bellway Homes and Warsop Parish Council.

Pete Hopkins branch secretary, of Warsop and Meden Vale Branch of the RBL, said that they were pleased with the rededication of the war memorial and its new prominent position in the village.
