VISITORS to Stainsby Mill can admire the water-powered mill in floodlit splendour for the first time on Monday.
The corn mill has provided flour for local villages near the Hardwick Estate since the 13th Century and was rebuilt in the 19th Century after falling into disuse.

Stainsby Mill steward Ray Godfrey says: "The floodlit opening of the mill gives visitors a chance to see the mill as they've never seen it before."

Stainsby Mill will be open on Monday from 10am–10pm with normal admission prices applying.
