PLANNING chiefs have given the go-ahead for a 100,557 sq ft industrial unit on Brook Park development site at the former Shirebrook Colliery.
The project will also include two-storey integral offices, a large goods yard and 111 car parking spaces set within a landscaped plot.
Developers Sladen Estates and Peveril Securities say the 'striking design' will use traditional materials and will be built to a specification to reduce its environmental impact.
Said Sladen Estates development director Simon Lewis: "We are delighted to have been granted planning on this significant new development site.
"It is always very satisfying to be part of a new chapter in an area's regeneration.
"Brook Park as a whole will bring significant new economic benefit to the area which boosts both the local and regional economy.
"This latest development will also enhance the Park's growing reputation as a business destination".
