A NEW playground will be built in Warsop Vale by the summer to replace one which was closed, regeneration chiefs have revealed this week.
Meden Valley Making Places is carrying out a major regeneration project to improve housing in the village but had to close the previous playground at the end of last summer as part of the work.

Chad has been contacted by worried residents concerned their children would have nowhere to play during the summer holidays if a new one is not built — but bosses have pledged work will start later this month.

Chief executive Gary Kirk told Chad developers Bellway would begin work on the new play area on 19th May, which was set to be completed by the end of June.

He said: "Bellway is doing wonderfully well in constructing this within the timescales that it promised."
