AN 81-year-old Nether Langwith man has appeared in court charged with the murder of his wife.
The body of 77-year-old Eunice Carr was found at the couple's Langwith Lodge Drive home on 28th May where she was discovered with serious head injuries lying face down in bed.

Her husband Arthur was arrested at the scene and was remanded in custody at Lincoln Prison by Mansfield magistrates on 8th August.

He appeared at Leicester Crown Court on Friday, but did not enter a plea.

Experts in the fields of neurology and geriatrics will examine Carr to determine if he is fit to enter a plea or stand trial.

He will appear before the court again on 31st October for a plea and case management hearing.
