FOOD and drink businesses wanting to scoop a prestigious industry award have until the end of this week to get their applications in.
The deadline for the Derbyshire Food and Drink Awards is Friday and all businesses must submit their applications to have a chance of winning a top award.

Venues are judged on criteria including the quality of food and drink, customer service and use of county produce in its menus.

Celebrity chef Brian Turner will present the awards and East Midlands Today presenter Dominic Heale will also speak at the ceremony.

Entries are invited from any catering business serving locally produced food and drink and categories this year include Restaurant of the Year and Coffee House of the Year.

Businesses should submit their application forms to Steph Walsh, International/Tourism Officer, Derbyshire County Council, County Hall, Matlock, Derbyshire, DE4 3AG.

Alternatively they should contact Steph Walsh on 01629 585964, fax on 01629 585501 or e-mail stephanie.walsh@derbyshire.gov.uk.
