RESIDENT concerns have once again been raised after a serious road accident at a traffic blackspot in Shuttlewood on Sunday night.
Police say the accident occurred on Chesterfield Road when a silver Rover 400 collided with a tree at around 7.20pm.

The two men in the car suffered serious injuries in the crash and were rushed to Chesterfield Royal Hospital, where their condition is now described as stable.

The accident is the latest in a long history of tragic accidents along the B6418 road, which saw five people die in a smash last September.

Police are appealing for anyone that saw the incident to contact Chesterfield's north road policing unit on 01773 572929 or Derbyshire Constabulary on 0845 123 3333.
