SHIREBROOK Town picked up their first league win of the season against whipping boys Brodsworth Welfare on Saturday as they continue their fight to beat the drop.
Two first half goals from Daniel O'Donnell followed by second half strikes from Dominic Jones and new signing Gareth Davey helped wrap up a vital three points for Dave Rhodes' side as they attempt to reign in Hallam and Lincoln Moorlands.
Town got off to a solid start with new signing Peter Stubly hitting a rising shot just over the bar after he beat two defenders.
Davey was also unlucky after he fired wide of the post as Shirebrook turned up the heat on their struggling opponents.
But the pressure finally told on 13 minutes when Daniel O'Donnell rose well to head home a Jones cross into the corner of the goal.
Brodworth fired a warning shot moments later when Bagshaw's header was well saved by Smith in the Town goal after he connected with a Fox corner.
Town doubled their lead when O'Donnell powered a header past Spafen on 21 minutes after connecting well with a Jones cross.
But to their disbelief their lead was cut to just one goal a minute later when Bagshaw cracked home a 30 yard piledriver past Smith.
Stung Shirebrook once again piled on the pressure with Jones and Kistell being denied by superb saves from the on-form Brodsworth goalkeeper.
It was 3-1 just before the hour mark when Jones beat the advancing goalkeeper after a flowing move involving Kistell and Stubly beat the visitor's defence.
Brodsworth, who have leaked 55 goals in just 10 games, had no answer to the Shirebrook attack and Jones nearly made it 4-1 when he smacked a fierce strike against the crossbar from distance.
Kistell was then denied with just six minutes remaining when he fired home only to be denied by the offside flag.
Confident Shirebrook got further reward for their efforts when Gareth Davey capped a fine performance by firing home a free-kick with two minutes remaining.
