ADVENTUROUS staff from Ollerton credit reference firm Riskdisk Ltd will attempt the Three Peaks Challenge to raise money for an ill Forest Town prison officer and his family.
Twenty-nine-year-old Simon Hennessy, a Nottingham HMP prison officer, was featured in Chad after undergoing surgery in January for a brain tumour.
Simon's friend Jamie Allan, an employee at Riskdisk Limited, is organising the fundraising event and will be joined by around 20 work colleagues from the firm.
The team will be required to climb and descend the three highest peaks in Scotland, England and Wales –– Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon –– in less than 24 hours.
Their epic climb begins at Ben Nevis at 5pm on 2nd August and involves a total climb of 9,700 ft, 22 miles of walking and hundreds of miles of driving between peaks.
Anyone wishing to sponsor the event to raise money for Simon should email Jamie Allan at info@riskdisk.com or contact Mansfield 869999.
