A 21-YEAR-OLD male motorist has been arrested after a man was killed in a road collision at Walesby in the early hours of Sunday.
The incident happened shortly before 4.15am when a blue Vauxhall Tigra collided with the pedestrian on Brake Lane, close to Boughton Pumping Station.

Police say the driver was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and has since been released on bail.

They are asking for any people who may have seen the Tigra before or after the incident in the Walesby or Boughton areas to come forward.

Anyone with information should contact Det Con Gosling at Nottinghamshire Police's Crash Investigation Unit on 0115 9672225 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
