Missing Rainworth pensioner found dead

A RAINWORTH pensioner missing after he failed to return home from walking his dog on Sunday has been found dead.
Eighty-one-year-old Clifford Evans was last seen walking his black poodle dog on the old Rufford pit site on Sunday evening.

He was found dead on Monday afternoon after his body was spotted by officers flying with the Nottinghamshire Police helicopter.

The Derby Mountain Rescue Team had been drafted in to help with the search.

A cause of death is not known at this stage.
