Mini driver killed in Halam smash

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a motorists was killed in a two-car crash at Halam on Saturday morning.
The incident involved a Mini Cooper and Vauxhall Corsa on Mansfield Road, near Norfolk House, around 9.30am and led to the closure of the main road for several hours.

The male driver of the Mini was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.

The female driver of the Corsa was taken to hospital by air ambulance with 'serious injuries'.

Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to contact the Notts roads policing unit on 0115 967 0999.
