HGV collision in Bilsthorpe

A SECTION of the A614 in Bilsthorpe was closed today after two heavy goods vehicles collided on Old Rufford Road.
Firefighters from Edwinstowe and Blidworth and a rescue tender from Newark attended the incident, which occurred at around 10.34am near The Limes Cafe.

The male driver of one of the vehicles was cut free by the brigade and taken to King's Mill Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Part of the road was closed in both directions until around 2.40pm while the area was made safe and the two vehicles were recovered.
