Fatal crash victim named as Farnsfield man

A FARNSFIELD man who died in a car crash on Saturday has been named locally as 31-year-old Stuart Peter Mitchell.
He was pronounced dead at the scene after his Mini Cooper collided with a Vauxhall Corsa on Mansfield Road at Halam at around 9.35am.

The 31-year-old female driver of the Corsa was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries.

Police, who have yet to confirm the name of the victim, have said the Mini was facing backwards at the time of the crash and are appealing for information.
