POLICE have released this image of a man they are hunting in connection with a serious sexual assault in Clumber Park at the weekend.
The male offender is described as white, aged between mid-teens to early twenties, of slim to medium build, wearing a blue tracksuit top and bottoms, a blue baseball cap and white trainers.

  • VIDEO: Woman victim of Clumber Park attack

The incident happened between 11pm and midnight on Saturday after a 25-year-old woman from South Yorkshire was separated from her friends during the Queen Spectacular concert.

Shortly after the fireworks display, she attempted to find her way back to the main car park, but when she reached Lab Crossroads, off Lime Tree Avenue, she saw two men standing nearby.

One of them then grabbed her, pulling her into a wooded area nearby, where she was held down and sexually assaulted. The men then ran off.

Police say the victim was left shocked and extremely distressed by what happened.

The other offender is described as a white man, aged 19 to 20 and of medium to heavy build. He had thick, blonde, wavy hair, and was wearing white tracksuit bottoms with a black stripe.

On Tuesday forensics officers searched the area of woodland where it is alleged the attack happened.

Senior Investigating Officer, Det Insp Melanie Bowden, told Chad: "The e-fit is distinctive and I am hoping somebody will recognise the man and come forward to the police.

"This was a traumatic experience for the victim, to be attacked by two strangers, having lost her friends. We are keen to speak to anybody who has any information that could assist in a quick arrest of these individuals."

  • Anyone with any information should contact Worksop police station on 0115 9670 999 ext. 7132 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
