A CHARITY night to help a Blidworth swimmer achieve his dream of competing in the Downs Syndrome World Championships will take place later this year.
Oliver Pratley has already been selected to train with the GB Downs Syndrome squad and is scheduled to compete in this week's European Championships.
The competition will form a vital part of what he hopes will be his build up to the 2012 World Championships in Southampton.
Preparations are now underway to help raise hundreds of pounds to support Oliver with his training and competition costs.
The Stars in Their Eyes fundraiser, which will take place on 1st May at Forest Town Welfare and includes a raffle and auction of prizes donated from local businesses, is just one of a number of planned fundraising activities.
