SHAPE Up Notts members in Mansfield who want to kick start their flagging New Year's exercise regime are being invited to a free open day at Oak Tree Leisure Centre.
It is part of the Shape Up Notts Festival of Sport in 2008, which involves linking with sports clubs and facilities to enable people to try out different sports and activities.

The centre will be opening its doors on Saturday and the day will feature a number of activities including fitball — which helps improve core stability — and spinning, which can burn up to 750 calories an hour.

Fitball runs from 9-9.30am, with spinning from 10-10.30am and a box-fit session from 11-11.30am — while the Fitness Suite will be open from 9am-3.30pm for 20-minute taster sessions.

The offer is only open to Shape Up Notts members and places on the fitness classes or fitness suite tasters must be booked in advance.

To book a session contact Mansfield 463820 and have your Shape Up Notts ID number handy and to bring a friend along who is not a member get them signed up at www.sportnottinghamshire.co.uk/shapeupnotts.php.

To celebrate the start of 2008 and to motivate you into action, Shape Up Notts has got its hands on plenty of great prizes, including New Balance trainers and a Pinnacle Source mountain bike worth £200.

To be in with a chance of winning one of the prizes, log your activity on the website every week until the end of March. To see a list of prizes visit www.sportnottinghamshire.co.uk/promos.php.
