NOW that we are finally being treated to some warm weather, there is a great temptation to hang up the running shoes, unroll the beach towel and soak up some sun in the garden.
And that is why organisers at the Shape Up Notts! campaign have launched two new competitions to inspire you to keep burning those calories.

Twenty embroidered sports team polo-shirts –– courtesy of Signature Leisure Wear –– are up for grabs to the team or group on the website that registers the largest number of new members during August.

The new Invite a Friend function, which allows you to invite all your family, friends and colleagues to be a part of the campaign should help get the ball rolling.

All you have to do is select the Invite a Friend option in the profile menu on the right hand side of your profile home page and add their email address.

And in celebration of the free swimming sessions at Water Meadows and Meden Sports Centre last month, Speedo has given Shape Up Notts! five goody bags containing a swimsuit or watershorts, goggles, towel and some training aids.

  • To be in with a chance of scooping a goody bag –– worth £100 each –– simply log a swimming activity on the website during the summer holidays.
