HEATHERLEY Primary School pupils show off their creations during a whole school art day event with freelance artist Maggie Hollingworth.
Pupils at the Forest Town school, aged between four and 11, worked with artists, parents and teachers to create a hedgerow scene from recycled materials, including old copies of the Chad which made the branches of the design.

Vanda Hammond, subject leader for art and design, told Chad: "The hedgerow art work will be displayed in the school hall and will show the seasons of hedge complete with animals, insects and flowers all made by the children.

"All of the pupils really enjoyed the art day and the adults were very impressed with what the children created."
