THE premiere of a film made by youngsters from Mansfield's All Saints School will take place in the town on 18th September.
The short documentary explores the backgrounds of British and Polish teenagers at the school to discover their similarities and differences and will be screened at the Odeon Cinema to an invited audience.

Mansfield Palace Theatre and Mansfield Museum have supported the project, which gave the students a chance to work with professional film-makers Elegua.

Coun Kate Allsop, portfolio holder for regeneration at Mansfield District Council, said: "I am excited about this innovative project.

"Mansfield, like many other areas, has experienced an influx of Polish immigrants in recent years and this is a wonderful example of how Mansfield Museum and the Palace Theatre can bring together young people of different backgrounds."

The film will also be shown at the One8 Festival in Nottingham and at the launch of the Cultural Olympiad — a four-year programme of activities leading up to the London 2012 Games.
