ROSEBROOK Primary School pupils held a school council meeting at County Hall yesterday to discuss the new Mansfield school's first year and its plans for the future.
The children had lunch with Nottinghamshire County Council chairman, the Hon Joan Taylor, before their meeting and were then taken on a tour of the West Bridgford building.

They were invited to County Hall by Mansfield county councillor and cabinet member for children and young people, Coun Joyce Bosnjak.

Said Coun Bosnjak: "School councils are a good way to introduce young people to politics, and encourages them to contribute to the running of their school.

"It is important that people know at an early age that their opinion really counts and that they can make a difference."
