YEOMAN Park School catering team members Lynda Westwood, Val Belcher, Linda Davidson and Judith Henton celebrate after scooping a prestigious catering title.
The team from the Mansfield Woodhouse school fought off competition from local authority caters –– including those working in special schools, civic centres and police stations –– to grab the title of the Local Authority Caterers Association (LACA) Specialist Catering Team of the Year Award.

Judges at the awards evening in Birmingham commented: "Cook supervisor Lynda Westwood and her team have demonstrated a clear commitment to the very special needs of the children, some of whom have severe learning difficulties and medical disorders."

Lynda and the team also won £500 to spend on themselves and have decided to have a special day together with a visit to a health spa.
